Iorras Aontaithe comfortable result in third round FAI Junior cup encounter .

Erris United ran-out comfortable winners in their third round FAI Junior Cup fixture V Strand Celtic of Sligo at Carne Nash Park on Sunday 12th October with the final score :Iorras Aontaithe 5 Strand Celtic 1. Erris were a goal down after nine minutes when a defensive mix-up gifted the Sligo out-fit the lead, Ryan Lynch the scorer. But Iorras showed lots of character and were soon back on level terms on 20 minutes when Strand Celtic gave away a penalty with Jason Boylan slotting home. On 34 minutes Tom Murphy gave Erris the lead with a wonderful effort, chipping the Keeper from the edge of the area, Jason Boylan the provider. On 41 minutes Tom Murphy was on the mark again after some nice build-up play from Sean Gaughan. Then just before the break Erris were awarded their second penalty with Jason Boylan victim and provider to finish the half, 4-1. Erris continued their pressure game in the second half but in the end Tom Ivan rounded off a nice afternoon for the home side when he scored on 73 minutes with Richy Hanley the provider.
Strand Celtic ended the game with ten players as a result of a red card incident.
Manager, Martin McIntyre was in very positive mood afterwords about his teams over-all performance. Good luck in the next round to all.

Iorras Aontaithe are away in round four of the FAI Junior Cup the will face Ballyheane on Sunday 9th November.
